Ginny Nobis - Principal, South Mesa Elementary
Ginny was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado during elementary school, and then settled in St. George in 1984. Ginny is a graduate of Pine View High School, Dixie College (now Dixie State University), and received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Utah University. In 2002, she received her master’s degree in Education from SUU, and completed her endorsement in Administration at SUU in 2015. Additionally, Ginny holds endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Reading, and Reading Interventions.
Ginny has been an educator for 22 years, serving as a teacher in both St. George and Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has also been a reading interventionist and is currently the learning coach at South Mesa Elementary. She is passionate about teaching reading and is a board member of Reading For Life - Southern Utah.
Ginny is married to Mike Nobis. They have four children and one son-in-law, Katie and Clark Larsen (Snow College and Dixie State University), Mckenna (Utah State University), Nate (senior, Dixie High School), and Ella (8th grade, Dixie Middle School). They enjoy hiking, off-roading, and have traveled to 38 states and Mexico as a family.
