We are pleased to announce the selection of Paul Orchard as the Principal of Little Valley Elementary School.  Paul will replace Rob Stevenson who plans to retire on June 30, 2020.

Paul has been with the Washington County School District for 23 years. He began his teaching career as an intern at Dixie Downs Elementary and spent 7 years teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades. He then helped open Little Valley Elementary and for seven years taught 5th Grade. The last seven years he has been at Heritage Elementary as the Title 1 Coordinator. Paul has developed a love for the many students, parents, and co-workers he has had the privilege to associate with. He will always be grateful for the experiences that have helped him grow.

Paul grew up in St. George, Utah spending most of his time at Dixie Red Hills Golf Course where his father was the Golf Professional. (Unfortunately it was working not playing.) He graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie College then went on to earn a degree in Parks and Recreation Management form the University of Utah. He received a degree in Education from Southern Utah University and an Administration Endorsement from Western Governors University. Paul enjoys taking a yearly pilgrimage to Disneyland with his wife Melissa and his two children Braden and Cassie. He loves to watch sporting events and gets his heart broken every year by the Minnesota Vikings. Paul is excited for the privilege of returning to Little Valley Elementary and looks forward to being a part of many great and wonderful things.

Please join us in congratulating Paul!
