Previous Superintendent Max Rose Passes Away
It is with heavy hearts and thankful minds that we recognize the service and life of Max Rose - past superintendent of the Washington County School District.
Max was hired by the school district on July 1, 2003. He retired on June 30, 2013. During his tenure as superintendent Max was often found in his superintendents office tutoring Washington County school District students in math. He loved education. Max not only knew everyone by their name, he knew their parents and grandparents. He was a friend to everyone! He began his teaching career in 1972 as a professor of mathematics and science at Dixie College. He served as the chairman of the Dixie regional medical center governing board and participated actively in many community events.
We here at WCSD appreciated Max's leadership, friendship and his love for the students of Washington County. We extend our condolences, love and thoughts to Max's family and the Washington County community during this time.
