New Assistant Principals Announced

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE SELECTION OF TWO NEW ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS;
JAYE BRACKETT AND STEVE SHOWALTER
Steve Showalter was selected as the Assistant Principal of Dixie Middle School. He will replace Sheri Fisher who was reassigned to the position of Southwest High School Administrator.
Steve was born in Cleveland, Ohio but moved to Southern California when he was young and lived there for eight years. He moved to Park City, Utah when he was in the fifth grade and lived there until he moved to St. George when he was a junior in high school. Steve graduated from Snow Canyon High School in 1999. He attended Arizona State University for his Bachelor’s Degree, where he met his wife Denise, before coming back to St. George to teach 5th grade at Diamond Valley Elementary for seven years. He received his Administrative Master’s Degree in 2011 from Southern Utah University and moved down to become the Title I Coordinator at Dixie Sun Elementary four years ago. He loves spending time with his wife, his son Andrew, and their two dogs hiking, traveling, golfing, and going to baseball games. He has loved his time at both Diamond Valley Elementary and Dixie Sun Elementary and will miss everyone there, but is very excited to work with the students, parents, and faculty at Dixie Middle School.
