Dixie Middle School - SRO Matt Schuman Saves Student's Life

Press Release

Dixie Middle School - SRO Matt Schuman Saves Student's Life
PRESS RELEASE
Washington County School District
Dixie Middle School, St. George UT
December 9, 2015 3:33pm

SROs in our schools, more than just protecting . . . saving lives.

Typically when we think of the police in our schools the worst comes to mind. Bomb threats, shootings and dealing with general civil disobedience, but having a trained public servant in the building can mean so much more for the safety of the students and staff than just protection, as it did yesterday at Dixie Middle School. Statement from Water Canyon School

Water Canyon School - HILDALE UTAH

hildale"I have received many phone calls, texts, and emails with encouraging thoughts and prayers being offered to Water Canyon and the residents of Hildale. The tragedy that struck here last night was severe and will have lasting effects for some time. I wanted to let you know that there were no students from Water Canyon involved in the incident; although many had relatives who perished. We are and will continue to work though the events of yesterday and do what we can to support our students. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts during this tragic time."

Darin Thomas - Principal K-12
