The Intermediate District Science Fair was recently hosted by Lava Ridge. School Science Fair winners from 6th and 7th grade from around the district were invited to participate in the District Science Fair. The projects and ideas of these students were amazing. Nostalgic Open House - East Elementary

Nostalgic Open House - East Elementary

East Elementary hosted an open house for all past and present students and staff. Dozens of former teachers and employees returned, while more than a hundred students came back to reminisce, visit, share photos and see old friends. Current students and staff will be making the transition to a new replacement building, Legacy Elementary, around February. Take a look at a few photos from the event.

Engaging Community with P.I.E.

Engaging Community with P.I.E.

Engaging Community with P.I.E.

Once a month Hurricane Elementary provides parents with a behind the scenes look at the school and the programs their children participate in. They call it Parents In Education or P.I.E. Parents have the opportunity to have a close up look at the dual-immersion Spanish program, STEM, pre-kindergarten, and Lego League. As the morning comes to an end, notes are reviewed and additional questions asked, the school serves pie (and sometimes cheesecake) to the parents who attend their P.I.E. day. Check out more photos on Facebook.
