Boundary Changes – LaVerkin/Hurricane

The Washington County School District School Board has approved an elementary boundary change between Hurricane Elementary and LaVerkin Elementary schools.  The proposed change would be to move students who reside in Toquerville to LaVerkin Elementary beginning the 2024-25 school year.

If you have any questions you may contact Tammy Davies at the district office via email at gro.21khsaw@seivad.ymmat or call 435-673-3553 ext. 5177.

Using the Linked Approved Map

Boundary Changes
Coral Cliffs/Paradise Canyon/Red Mountain

Washington County School District School Board has approved that Coral Cliffs Elementary be closed and students transferred to Red Mountain and Paradise Canyon Elementary schools. Families that live east of North Dixie Downs Drive would be in the Paradise Canyon boundary, while those living west of North Dixie Downs Drive would be in the Red Mountain boundary.

The District believes this is necessary because enrollment has continued to decrease at all of the elementary schools in this area. This proposed change will make all of the local elementary schools more efficient, and the District will use the educational resources at Coral Cliffs for our growing special education student population currently enrolled at Post High.

We appreciate your support with this matter.
